This Ethiopian micro-lot has hit the ultimate milestone, clinching first place in the Washed category of the 2023 African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) Taste of Harvest competition with a score of 90.75. This score denotes the bean’s expert processing (conducted by the Jigesa washing station), which resulted in a high-quality coffee that sports sugary sweet notes and refreshing acidity. Such notes also mark this coffee as distinctively from the Guji zone in Ethiopia, where high elevations and rich soils naturally produce sweeter cups
