Ecuador, Finca Lugmapata
ABOUT THE BEAN
Located in Pallatanga valley, in Chimborazo province, and run by Enrique with his sister and nephew, Finca Lugmapata has belonged to the Merino Family for over 100 years. Enrique’s goal is to one day have 60 productive hectares all grown with coffee, with everything being produced and sold as specialty coffee.
The picked cherries are fully washed and traditionally fermented for 24-30 hours. After fermentation, the coffee is moved to covered patios for drying. The result is a cup teeming with black grape, brown sugar sweetness and floral tasting notes.
